Denplan NewDenplan is the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist. They have supported patients and worked alongside dentists for 30 years.

Denplan’s approach is based on prevention, helping you to get the care and treatment you need to feel good about your dental health. They can also help you budget for high quality treatments and provide worldwide dental injury.

What can our Denplan payment plans do for you?

This allows you to have access to regular private dental care with your dentist and their dental team, helping to keep your teeth and gums healthy and prevent problems in the future.

Take a look at some of the other benefits of being with us…

  • Assesses you for infections, including your tongue and gums

Denplan Essentials is an excellent way to ensure that your dental health continues to be monitored and maintained. You can spread the cost of your regular visits to the dentist and hygienist. It means you can budget for your regular oral care and ensures you have regular access to a dentist when you need it.

For a fixed monthly fee you will be entitled to two check-ups and two hygienist visits a year. X-rays are also included in this plan. Other benefits include hospital cash, oral cancer cover and worldwide emergency cover. As a Denplan Essentials patient, you will also be entitled to a 10% discount on certain treatments.

Now that you have access to the high levels of preventative care you may not require any restorative work as a denplan essentials patient. If, you find you need unexpected dental treatment you have got the reassurance that your dentist will provide the appropriate clinical care. This would be at a separate cost still with your 10% discount.

Denplan Care includes preventative and emergency care, plus a wide range of restorative dental treatments all included in your personalised plan.

The amount you pay for Denplan Care is decided by your dentist. It’s based on your oral health and how much dental care and treatment you will need each year. After an initial assessment, you will be put into one of five categories depending on your oral health, which will determine your monthly payment.

”There are two payment plans for Children. One scheme is similar to Denplan Essentials where the children are entitled to two dental examinations, one hygienist appointment and their necessary dental radiographs.

The other scheme is similar to Denplan Care where the children are entitled to two dental examinations, one hygienist appointment, all necessary dental radiographs and routine restorative care.

Learn more about your fees.

Your Denplan monthly fees are set by your dentist and are based on your oral health, and the treatments you’re likely to receive in the future. They’re also determined by your dental practice, and its running costs which vary from one practice to another.

Changes to your fees

Why might my fees change?

Your dental practice may review their fees from time to time, in line with business costs, professional regulations and inflation.

Your fees can also increase in relation to the amount of treatment you need over a period of time, as they are designed to reflect your oral health needs.

The best way to find out why your fees have changed is to speak to your registered dentist. They will be able to talk you through your plan and ensure that the care you are receiving is the best option for you.

How are my fees set?

Although we collect your payments, your fees are actually set by your dental team. When you first joined a Denplan plan, your dentist will have chosen a fee category for you based on your oral health needs. Your dental team may then review the amount you pay due to changes in your oral health, or due to their business costs, professional regulations or inflation.

Who can tell me more about my fees?

To find out more about your fees and your current payment plan, speak to your dental team. You could give them a call, or even pop in to see them, there’s no need to wait until your next appointment. They will be able to tell you more about your payments, and the care that you’re currently entitled to receive as part of your payment plan.

Who collects my payments?

We collect your payments, and forward them directly to your dental practice. This saves your dental team spending time on paperwork and administration, leaving them free to give you the best possible dental care.

Why do I pay extra for specialist/referral treatment?

At some point your dental team may refer you to a specialist for treatment, such as an orthodontist or oral surgery expert. As your payment plan contract is between you and your registered dentist, it only covers the care you receive from them and certain members of their dental team.

As specialist treatment is not a part of your regular care with your registered dentist, they will not have taken it into account when setting your fee.

Does claiming on my Denplan Supplementary Insurance affect my fee?

Making a claim on your Denplan Supplementary Insurance doesn’t affect your payments.

However, if your oral health changes as the result of a dental injury, you may need an increased level of care in the future, and your dentist may review your fee.

Our optional Denplan Supplementary Insurance provides extra benefits and protects you in the case of accidental dental injury or dental emergencies.

For an additional £0.60 a month, Denplan Supplementary Insurance includes:

  • Up to £450 for temporary emergency treatment in the UK, when you’re more than 40 miles from your registered dental practice*
  • Up to £470 for temporary emergency treatment received abroad, anywhere in the world and specified worldwide dental injury cover

Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover

Can be added to your Denplan payment plan for just £2.25 per person each month.

So, what is a dental implant?

A dental implant consists of a metal screw (often titanium), that is inserted into the gum and jaw bone, then topped with a crown or bridge. Implants are often used when the root of a tooth fails or is killed due to infection or injury.

If cared for properly, implants can last as long as natural teeth. They look and feel the same, allowing you to eat, drink and smile with confidence.

Why should I choose Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover?

Your current payment plan may include routine dental care, such as your regular check-ups and possibly other treatments, such as fillings and crowns. If you have a dental injury and lose a tooth as the result of this, your dentist may not be able to restore your teeth using the treatments covered by your current plan.

However, with Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover, you can rest assured that if you do lose a tooth due to a dental injury*, you will have cover in place should your dentist feel an implant is clinically necessary.

Exclusions

Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover does not provide for;

  • Implant placement where the dental injury occurred prior to, or within 28 days of, the cover start date
  • Placement of an implant into a pre-existing gap or where the dentist determines it is not clinically appropriate
  • Replacement following the failure of an implant to integrate
  • Implant treatment which was prescribed, planned or was taking place at the commencement date of the Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover

Read the Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover terms and conditions.

How do I apply?

Our Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover is available exclusively to Denplan patients, who have Denplan Supplementary Insurance. To upgrade your existing cover just give us a call on 0800 401 402 or speak to your registered dentist.
