Welcome Back – A Fresh Start for Autumn!

As the summer draws to a close and September gets underway, it’s time to get back into our usual routines, returning to work, heading back to school and settling into the rhythm of everyday life once again.

In this edition of our newsletter, we’re celebrating some of the people who make our practice so special, including welcoming back members of our team, recognising some fantastic staff milestones and sharing the inspiring charity work being carried out by some of out team.

As routines return, it’s also the perfect time to reset our oral health habits. With busy school mornings, work schedules and family life back in full swing, maintaining a simple and consistent brushing and flossing routine is more important than ever.

September Oral Care: 5 Simple Tips

As we get back into work, school and everyday routines, it’s a great time to reset your oral health habits:

• Brush twice a day for 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste.
• Clean between your teeth daily with floss or interdental brushes.
• Watch the sugary snacks and drinks, especially with regular hot drinks.
• Stay hydrated as the colder weather can contribute to a dry mouth.
• Keep up with dental check-ups to start the new season with a healthy smile.

Small habits can make a big difference to your smile as we head into the colder months.

Celebrating Amy’s 25 Years

This September marks a very special milestone as Amy celebrates 25 years at Jenkins Dental Practice.

We are incredibly grateful for Amy’s dedication, loyalty and long-standing commitment to both our patients and the practice. Her friendly smile and caring nature have made generations of patients feel welcome and at ease from the moment they walk through our doors.

Thank you, Amy, for everything you do. Here’s to the next 25 years!

Welcome Back, Madeline!

We’re delighted to welcome Madeline, our dental hygienist, back from maternity leave. Madeline will be returning to work on Wednesdays from mid September, and we’re all looking forward to having her back as part of the team.

We’re pleased that Ed Collyer will continue seeing patients on Wednesdays and Thursdays and Tracy Hawkins will be available for appointments on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Welcome to Megan!

A warm welcome to Megan, who has recently joined Jenkins Dental Practice as our newest dental nurse. We’re delighted to have her as part of our team and know she’ll make a wonderful addition to the practice. We hope you’ll join us in making her feel very welcome.

Congratulations, Luna!

A huge congratulations to Luna, who has successfully passed her dental nursing examinations with Merit and Distinction. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and look forward to seeing her continue to thrive as a qualified dental nurse.

Giving Back with Dentaid

Back in 2022, Mark Vardon cycled across the Pyrenees with Straumann to raise money for Dentaid. Now, he’s volunteering on the very dental bus that his fundraising helped to fund, providing much needed dental care to people in the local community.

And he’s not doing it alone! Our dentist Katherine and dental nurse Charlotte are also volunteering on the Dentaid bus and doing their bit to give back to the community.
We’re incredibly proud of you all.
