What’s involved in a New Patient Consultation?

The first appointment with our dentists takes longer than a routine check-up as we like to get to know the person behind the smile. We’ll ask you to complete a medical history form so we are aware of any issues. Once we’re all ready, we’ll invite you through to the surgery to meet your dentist. They will start with a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, jaw and soft tissues.

We also carry out x-rays to check for any problems under the surface of your teeth. We will be able to spot any signs of decay and infection.

The appointment only lasts around 30 minutes. After the check-up, your dentist will provide any cleaning advice and suggest any treatment if you need any. You can then arrange further treatment with the reception team, such as booking a hygiene appointment.

We accept patients of all ages and see many families at our practice. We can arrange family appointments and see you all in one longer session.
