Katherine grew up in Dorset, completed her dental training in Yorkshire, qualifying with Merit from the University of Leeds. Whilst at University she also achieved a degree of Bachelor of Arts with honours class I in Health Care Ethics and represented her university at the Dentsply ‘Student Clinician of the Year Awards’ in 2010. On qualifying in 2011 she was awarded year prize in Dental Public Health. She then spent two years between NHS dental practice and the hospital maxillofacial services as a Senior House Officer, achieving Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in 2012. For this she was awarded the T.C. White Medal for outstanding performance. In 2013 she was awarded Yorkshire First Prize in the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners ‘Best Case Presentation’ Award. In 2019 she was awarded Distinction by University College London for a postgraduate certificate in Restorative dentistry. Katherine continues to enjoy further professional development enabling her to strive for the best results delivered in the most comfortable way for her patients.

Her love of travel has taken her from Africa where she provided dental aid in more challenging conditions to Australia where she worked within private practice in Melbourne. In 2016 during the Syrian refugee crisis she provided dental aid within a refugee camp on the Greek island of Thessaloniki. She returned to the South West to be nearer to her family, joining the Jenkins Dental team in 2019.

Katherine is enthusiastic and dedicated about providing high quality, forward thinking dentistry to both families and individuals within a safe, caring environment. She is particularly good at putting nervous and anxious patients at ease. She completed the SAAD course in conscious sedation in London in 2013 for those patients who feel they need more support to receive dental treatment comfortably.

Outside of dentistry she works as an artist and is a mum to two small children.
